The Nikon FM2n

For more of my photographs, please visit my Flickr site.

Its the first SLR I've ever bought.

It has been with me for about 3 months now. It included a 50mm f/1.8 Series E Nikon lens. I didnt know anything about it at first but it was like the entry level Nikkor lens, that was sold cheaper than the standard and better Nikkor Lenses.

It was a little dirty at first, shutterspeeds were erratic, lens had fungi, i think it was left unused for years. After cleaning, i realized that what i had was a very mint camera, with a little brassing, and some hairline scratches which is tolerable being the OC that i am.

oh well..
These were very first pictures i took with this camera.

Its such a joy to use. I've never had so much fun taking pictures. Its so easy to use, so reliable, built like a tank, i mean, just look at it! Its awesome! Its beautiful.

Konica Minolta VX100 Film

I just had it CLA'ed (Cleaned, Lubricated, Adjusted) a few months ago. Shutterspeeds are now perfectly working, the lenses are looking good, no sign of fungus, the viewfinder is very bright, its in perfect working condition. And it has never failed me ever since. It now boasts a hood, to protect it against flares when shooting in bright areas and I added a Soligcor Motor Drive, that takes 2 fps for those sports and some paparazzi shots. I seldom use it by the way. haha.

It now bears signs of use. Some paint loss here and there, a few marks and scratches, although, it irritates me, it kinda grew on me. I mean, the camera never looked even better, it looked more like it was dead and its soul came back and was reborn.

It has been my constant companion. Everywhere I go, I bring it with me, hoping to catch moments and as well as memories forever exposed on film.
